Energy Academy

This is a free training and work experience programme for younger residents, and a great opportunity to check out career pathways in the environmental and energy industries, or just do something interesting! Energy Academy is a Waterloo-based community group, involved in the urban environment and regeneration.

Here's what's involved:

  • get on a two-day residential Energy Academy at the National Communities Resource Centre, Trafford Hall near Chester
  • get trained in home energy assessments and fuel bill savings
  • get at least five days worth of expenses-paid work experience doing Energy Assessments for householders around SE1
  • pick-up a cool certificate and up to £100 of iTunes or mobile top-up vouchers

It's free, just put in a bit of time and its all yours. A coach will take participants on 22 February, and return to London on 24 February.

Do some half-days from their Waterloo office whenever suits in March and you're done.

If you can't make this one, but want to know about the next ones, just register to be alerted.

To get in, just email waterloo-energy@wcdg.org.uk
