Roupell Park has been a resident management organisation for 12 years, providing quality housing services to its residents and creating a sustainable community to be proud of. We are continuing on our route to excellence, becoming a driving force of URH, implementing change and striving for 3 stars in our pending Audit Commission inspection.
Roupell Park is currently funded by London Borough of Lambeth and is managed by Roupell Park Residents Management Committee. There has been resident involvement on Roupell Park for the past 28 years.
In 1994 the Government introduced tenant management organisations (TMOs), giving the residents the right to manage their homes. The new committee members were involved in a 2 year period of training to enable them to take over the day-to-day management and the recruitment of staff. The newly formed committee took over the management of Roupell Park and became one of the first tenant management organisation within the London Borough of Lambeth.
We have recently joined three other TMOs under an umbrella group called United Residents Housing (URH) to become an arms length management organisation (ALMO). Becoming a part of URH will provide us with the much needed Government funding to enable us to bring Roupell Park up to the ‘Decent Homes Standard' that are required by 2010. What this means to you is improved living conditions and the refurbishment of kitchens and bathrooms within your property. This is only achievable if URH receive a two-star rating from the Audit Commission. Once this is achieved we will guarantee Government funding. Our aim is to ensure that Roupell Park is a happy, clean and safe environment for all our residents. We have helpful and polite members of staff who are committed to providing a good service to residents.
